Sr. Research Program Coordinator II (Full-time)

Research Assistant (Internship – Semester/Summer)

Summary of Position: 

This unique internship opportunity will help an individual gain experience in multiple aspects of research, engagement, and industry growth related to arts, health, wellbeing and learning—including scoping reviews, data analysis, communications, event planning, database management, qualitative research, and more. 

The IAM Lab is seeking an energetic, self-directed individual who shares our mission—to amplify human potential—and who possesses strong communication skills, readiness to learn, and an ability to adapt quickly to fast-changing needs.

Intern Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Assisting with screening and data extraction for large scoping reviews
  • Assisting with general research toward Lab products and deliverables (This may include lit reviews, contacting study subjects, conducting interviews, drafting reports, etc.)
  • Assisting with data analysis
  • Writing and editing materials for Lab deliverables
  • Taking notes during meetings; transcribing recorded events as needed
  • Arranging events and event logistics as needed (booking rooms, room set-up, coordinating catering, etc)
  • Uploading files, paperwork, forms, etc. to the Shared Drive; organizing files on the drive
  • Assisting the Research Program Manager with IRB applications and project documentation, as needed

Internship Requirements and Qualifications: 

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Adaptable self-starter who works well without supervision
  • Committed to high-quality work product
  • Particular interest in research related to impacts of the arts on health, well-being, and learning
  • Energetic and eager to tackle new projects and ideas
  • Rigorous, reliable, attentive, detail-oriented
  • Able to deliver to specific standards/protocols
  • Able to work well with wide variety of people; maintains a sense of humor and consistent professionalism
  • Proficient computer skills, including Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides) and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
  • High school degree or equivalent required; upper-level undergraduate or graduate-level experience preferred
